We can help you to get the most out of your plan. Whether you need assistive technology to help make everyday activities easier, specialist services such as physiotherapy or you want to live more independently, we support you to exercise choice and control over the coordination of your supports.

Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) includes helping to assist with or supervising tasks of daily life to develop the skills needed to live as autonomously as possible.
Support at Home Support Program
Whether you need in-home support or assistance in the community, we can help you to continue to enjoy your independence and make your own care choices.
Support at Home Care Management
Your Care Partner and Care Team not only work alongside you but also with other, specialist services providers when you need them. Whether you need Physio, Podiatry, Occupational Therapist, Meals on Wheels or something else, we can support you to access the specialist services you need via a service agreement paid for out of your Support at Home Package (SAHP).
Plan Management
Our team can support you with managing your NDIS funds by handling the day-to-day administration that comes with your plan.

- Who are Magenta Community Services?
Magenta is a registered and accredited NDIS and My Aged Care provider.
We have three offices located in Lismore, New South Wales, Toowoomba Southeast Queensland and Gladstone Central Queensland.

- What is the NDIS and who is eligible?
NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) it is an Australian Government program launched in 2013. It was the first national scheme of its kind to support people living with a significant or permanent disability. The scheme allocates funding for individuals, their families, and carers to help improve their quality of life and reach their life goals. To be eligible, you must meet the criteria set out by the NDIS. You can find out more here on the NDIS website.
- What is an NDIS plan?
Your NDIS plan is a personalised written agreement, or document often called a support plan of participant plan. Your plan will detail your goals, day-to-day needs and funded supports. Your NDIS plan is created by the NDIS; it acts as a roadmap that contains vital information about you and your goals to connect participants with funded services. Your plan is created after your first planning meeting and outlines what support you require and how much funding you have available for those supports.
- What is Plan Management?
Plan Management is an option that NDIS participants have for the management of their allocated plan funding. There are three options for how your plan funding is managed.
- Agency Managed – managed by the NDIA.
- Self-managed. You are required to keep track of your own invoicing and budget.
- Managed by a registered, independent NDIS Plan Manager, like us!
If you’d like to have our amazing Plan Manager Kerrin look after your funding, you must request this at your planning meeting or plan review. This option comes at no additional cost to you or your NDIS funding. Working with Magenta as your NDIS Plan Management provider will allow you to maintain control of your support services without the difficult administration and record keeping.
- What does an NDIS Plan Manager do?
An NDIS Plan Manager is a registered professional who handles the financial administration of a participant’s NDIS plan, acting as an intermediary between participants, providers and the NDIA. They pay provider invoices, manage and track budgets, maintain records, provide support, education, financial reports. We have an amazing Plan Manager, Kerrin who loves helping our participants and their families to get the most from theirs plans, reach their goals and maintain their choice and control.
- What are the benefits of choosing a Plan Manager?
The benefits of a NDIS Plan Manager can include, improved budget oversight, expert guidance on maximizing your NDIS Plan funding. If you have allocated budget in your NDIS plan for Plan Management, this service comes at no additional cost to you or your plan funding. At Magenta we take the time to understand you and your goals, so we know the best way to manage your NDIS funding and support you to live your best life!
- What is Support Coordination?
Support Coordination is a capacity building support that helps participants to navigate their NDIS plans, connect them with the best suited service providers, managing their complex needs, setting up service agreements, preparing plan reviews and building skills. A Support Coordinator will work with you to ensure a mix of supports are used to increase your capacity to maintain relationships, manage service delivery tasks, live more independently and feel confident to be part of your local community.
As a capacity-building support, Support Coordination is an important part of developing your independence and achieving your long-term goals. If Support Coordination is part of your plan, the costs of those services are covered by the NDIS. At Magenta Community Services, our Support Coordinators will help facilitate supports required as part of your plan. We also make sure you understand how your plan works by communicating in a way you can understand.
- What does a Support Coordinator do?
A Support Coordinator helps participants to understand and implement their NDIS plan, acting as a guide to connect them with service providers, manage budgets, and build independence. They assist in identifying and maintaining supports, reducing complexity in finding the right service provider to suit the participants needs and reporting on progress to the NDIA. Our Support Coordinators will help to build your confidence and make you feel empowered by your plan by communicating in a language you can understand.
- What type of supports are funded by the NDIS?
Supports that you can receive funding for will vary based on your individual needs and goals.
According to the NDIS, the types of supports they fund include:
- Day-to-day activities such as showering, dressing and preparing meals
- Transport to participate in normal events such as school, social groups and daily life activities
- Workplace help so you can obtain and keep employment
- Therapeutic supports such as speech pathology, occupational therapy and behaviour support
- Household tasks to enable you to keep living in your home and build independence
- Home modifications to ensure you’re able to comfortably live in your environment
- Mobility equipment and vehicle modifications
If support is not directly related to your disability, the NDIS will not fund it.

- What is the Support at Home program?
The Support at Home program is a new Australian Government funded initiative, it was introduced in November 2025, replacing the old Home Care Packages Program. The Support at Home program is designed to help older Australians live independently at home for longer. It improves access to tailored services, products, equipment, and home modifications to help you remain living independently at home for longer.
- What is the Support at Home Care Management?
Support at Home Care Management provides a dedicated care partner to coordinate personalised services for older Australians. We have an amazing Care Partner at Magenta, Belle whose focus is to help you stay independent in your own home, offer tailored budgeting, regular reviews and support for daily living and clinical needs.
